There are basically 4 O’ level results in Nigeria

  • WAEC
  • NECO
  • GCE

1. University Of Nigeria NSUKKA (UNN)

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka is the most prestigious university in south-eastern Nigeria. It was founded in 1955 by Nnamdi Azikiwe and commenced fully in 1960.

UNN has four campuses namely; the Enugu campus, the Nsukka campus, the Aba campus and the Ituku-Ozalla campus.

The University of Nigeria Nsukka is one of the few universities that accept applicants with only NECO results or a mixture of WAEC and NECO.

2. Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (OAU)

Obafemi Awolowo University is located in the heart of the city of Ile-Ife, Osun state. It is owned by the federal government of Nigeria.

Obafemi Awolowo University also known as Great Ife was established in 1961 but there were academic activities.

Obafemi Awolowo University started full academic activities in 1962. When Obafemi Awolowo University started, the school had just eight faculties which has been increased to 13 faculties.

Students seeking admission into Obafemi Awolowo University can present their NECO results or a mixture of WAEC and NECO results.

Lastly, Obefemi Awolowo University is one of the few Universities to study dentistry & dental surgery in Nigeria

3. UNiversity Of Ibadan (UI)

The University of Ibadan was established in 1948 with its Location in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. It is the oldest and first university in Nigeria to have an electron microscope.

Presently, the University of Ibadan has 10 faculties, they are the faculty of Arts, Public Health, Agriculture, Forestry, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Law, Dentistry, Technology, Arts and Science, Pharmacy and the college of Medicine.

The University of Ibadan accepts applicants with both WAEC and NECO results.

4. University Uyo (UNIUYO)

The University of Uyo has a total of 13 faculties. It is located in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom. It was named the University of Uyo and changed to a federal university in 1991.

      1. I have my neco resul from another school and it will not correspond with my testimonial and reference/Attestation letter. Will I be given admission if I use them for admission.
