Yabatech Part-time Requirements for OND

Before seeking admission in Yabatech, you must ensure to have credit passes in all your SSCE exams and not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB). The subjects in the O’level must include Mathematics, English Language, and any other three subjects. Check out the subject combination for each course here (OND only).

Do note that for Candidates applying with NABTEB results are not allowed to combine with WAEC or NECO. Although, you can combine two NABTEB results but not NABTEB and WAEC or NABTEB and NECO.

Yabatech Part-time Requirements for HND

Before you can be admitted into the part-time or full-time program for HND, ensure to have an S.S.C.E result that matches with the course the individual wants to apply for. You can check the HND courses in Yabatech and their O’level requirements

A relevant National diploma certificate with at least a pass grade is also compulsory.

A one-year post-national diploma industrial experience (Industrial Training). However, Candidates with a pass in national diploma must complete 2 years of industrial training.

Below are alternative programs you can apply for if you are interested;

• Certificate programs (1 year)
• Advance certificate program (1 year)
• Technical certificate
• Postgraduate Diploma

the certificate program comes with courses such as;

• Ceramics
• Dress Making
• Paints and coating
• Photography
• Printing Technology
• Visual art

If you wish to go for the Advanced certificate, there is only Printing technology. The technical certificate also has only “Paints and coating technology” while the Postgraduate diploma has only Urban and Regional Planning available. All the forms cost the same price.

Studying For Part-time in YabaTech

If you wish to ensure for par-time choosing in Yabatech, or if you are already a part-time student it is important to understand the following

• Part-time exams are done from Mondays to Saturday and it lasts for two weeks.
• As a part-time student, you cannot stay in the school hostel. You have to either come from home or get accommodation close to the school.
• The part-time programme will last for three years (a total of six semesters).
• The certificates given after the programme are the same as the ones given to full-time students.
